2012: May - August / Writing, Shows, and Comps
Going to make this 2 posts as I want to cover a lot of stuff
We started writing for our 2nd LP. Cody and Albert have been meeting up a few days a week at our lockout to work out album ideas. Albert is a new beast on guitar since recording Antipathy and the split. I don't know when he sleeps, I constantly get messages from him at all hours of the night with new riffs attached. We're heading in a different direction, into space, these are my favorite songs yet. As it should be...

We re-recorded our song 'Black' during the split sessions and it's being released on the Dog Years Records 2012 comp. You can pre-order below. Chris who made our Antipathy posters runs the label.

Shows we've played recently
May 31st, 2012
Juan from Colombian Necktie started a new venue at a VFW hall in LA called the Boom Tomb Room, a scene from La Bamba was filmed there. Our show there ruled, we played with the lights off. Our new friends Hollow Earth ripped, I hope we get to do some more shows with them. Ian was gone for a few months backpacking in Europe so Sean Keding filled in on bass for a few shows starting with this one. We love Sean.

ETID hit us up a few days before to play this. Had no idea we were on their radar but they were so nice to us. We played as a 4 piece for the first time, I'll spare you the drama. Albert, Cody, Sean, and myself. Still ripped.

Might be the closest (distance) I'll ever get to playing Showcase Theatre. All the bands ruled. Plagues were supposed to play but bailed. Leo from Plagues drove with me and we listened to the new Neurosis record.
July 10th, 2012
Back to back shows at Maya's Cafe. We didn't seem to fit on this bill but all these bands and SOS booking have always been rad to us. Disgrace let Buddy borrow a guitar and Donnybrook ended up playing as well.

It's always rad when we get to play our hometown area, San Juan Capistrano, Laguna Niguel, or Dana Point. This was at Jake from Archetypes' house and it ruled. Ian was home for a second so we was able to play this with us.
August 7th, 2012
This was our first time at the rad, new IE venue, The Dial.
Stacked mixed lineup. Colony from NY rip. Sean filled in for Ian again at this show. Shout out to Sean for always coming through for us.

Back to back IE shows again. Cody and Buddy went on tour with our friends Burn Your Life Down so they had double duty this night. Someone shot a cool video of us playing 'Needles'.
