2010: (sic)

It's been a minute... but we recorded our full length and we are playing in LA tonight with the homies Colombian Necktie.

Recording was too quick and frustrating for me. I've got writer's block. I have so many ideas and things to say yet I have the hardest time articulating them. I'm grateful for Albert stepping up and helping me with a lot of the lyrics on this record. I wrote the first 2 tracks myself but the rest are mostly him, and 2 from Buddy. Which is cool because it really is a band effort. Maybe I'm being too revealing about myself but I want them to have their credit.

But worst, I got sick with a throat thing the day before we started tracking drums. We did 12 songs over the span of 4 days with Alex Estrada at Earth Capital, December 9 - 12. By the 3rd day, drums, bass, and guitars had been finished and I was feeling even worse. I wanted to come back later and finish vocals but the guys insisted I push through it. I kept bags of Halls cough drops and ice cream on deck to help numb my throat but I didn't like how it was sounding. Everyone else says I'm being too hard on myself but I want to redo them. We'll see. Anyways, tonight in LA...

We didn't play Ghosts, Cowards, or Skies, this was a joke with Colombian Necktie in the bar afterwards

We're also playing next week at Che with my favorite lineup yet, our 3rd time playing Che and last show of the year.

Here's some pics of us in Long Beach last month, taken by Dani Paretta

It's raining and I'm listening to S today at work, high school nostalgia
